Hope

How I wish you guys could have seen this pic today at Dialogue. So much of what we talking about was resting on this piece of art…

Well it’s here for your viewing pleasure now. If you look closely you can see the musical notes wafting towards heaven. I love that.

What depresses you about the painting?

To me, it is inspirational. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good fairy tale every now and then–with their glass slippers, perfect worlds, and happy endings. But I need a hope with some grit; a bruised and bleeding hope. I need a hope that plays through the pain.

Well life is depressing enough so why cant we have the glass slipper?

If we are children of the almighty God, He wants us to have the desires of our heart! is that not so? why dwell on bruised and bleeding crap !! Lets look past that to something BEAUTIFUL!!!Something that puts a smile on your face instead of sadness lurking around you! but beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!!!!!

I hear what you are saying. I do prefer to wear the glass slipper (boy, does that sound weird! But you know what i mean.), but sometimes I still step in a big pile of crap!

I think what is beautiful about this woman is that even though she is bruised and bleeding, she is still making music. The beauty isn’t in her circumstances or song, it is in her determination, and motion. When we find beauty in the motion towards God, we don’t have to ignore the present pain. We can embrace it, and declare the words of Job “though he slay me, yet will I trust in him”. That is beauty. That is hope.

That makes since of what u see.. that is why God made us all so different so that we can guide each other to see the world in different ways!
